Happy (late) Valentine's Day!

Valentine’s Day is completely different in the UK compared to the United States. Surprisingly, you wouldn’t even know it was a holiday unless you were out and about in the evening when people are walking around with bouquets of flowers. I feel like in the United States, everything screams that it is a holiday; there always seems to be countless ads, clothing, etc. with hearts and reminders. Or maybe it’s because I have lived in a sorority for three years and the doorbell is constantly ringing with deliveries…hmmm, very probable. The four of us girls celebrated by going out for dinner in the Soho area. We went to a trendy restaurant called BKB, which stands for Bohemian Kitchen and Bar. It was absolutely fabulous. We came back to discover that the guys had flowers and wine for us…how charming of them, especially after putting up with us for almost five weeks. Overall, it was a great day. I am excited to celebrate Valentines Day (a month late) with Evan in Paris. Today I am trying to catch up on homework and laundry as tomorrow we leave for Geneva, Switzerland. Kayla has a cousin from Kansas that currently lives and works there. We are very excited because his friend is letting us use his cabin in the mountains for the weekend—what a treat. It will be very cold during this time, but beautiful with the snow. Feeling very blessed! I will be posting again very soon.

Nikka with our surprise! :)
